These are heavy and well made. Used them as cake toppers for a Mythbuster's themed birthday cake. Husband took them to put on his desk at work afterwards. Nice conversation starters. They looked great on a 1/2 sheet cake and we printed out "confirmed", "plausible" and "busted" signs to stick on the cake.

These talking bobbleheads sound cool/funny and look unique.

It was really cool to see these talking bobbleheads get used by the Mythbusters cast in some of their episodes.

These talking bobbleheads can provide unique decorations to your room.

I would reccomend these for any Mythbusters fans.

I'm a HUGE fan of the show & this is my second MythBusters purchase! These are going to be perfect for my bedroom, as I'm turning my bedroom's theme into MythBusters! The quality could be better, but it's fairly well. I'm a very happy with this purchase!

Purchased this set for my wife for Christmas. We love the show.

On Christmas morning she opened Adam first. He worked and she loved it. Then came Jamie... nothing. Switched out batteries and still nothing. Ended up having to contact Discoverystore to get a replacement....

1. Replacement Jamie 1 ... did not work, hand with remote was broken off.
2. Replacement Jamie 2 ... did not work, hand with remote was broken off.
3. Replacement Jamie 3 ... finally worked, but hand broken off. Decided to keep this one and super glue the hand.

Long story short, we went through 4 Jamies before we got one that the sound bites worked on. Even then, he had a broken hand.

Discovery Store was great the whole time and replaced them no questions asked, but they really need to check these before they ship them out. They are terribly packaged.

So... I would recommend them with the big asterisk that you should be prepared to have to get (atleast 1) replacement.

I purchased both of the bobbleheads to give as Christmas presents to my two children who love to watch MythBusters. Adam was DOA, but luckily I had just purchased 100 of the batteries these use for just $6 on [...], so that was not too problematic. What was disappointing was that there are only three sayings on them, and as another reviewer said, these were not very rememberable quotes from the show. And to top that off, they both say the same three things. Two are in Jamie's voice and one is in Adam's. I have purchase other talking bobbleheads that say a lot more and are character specific in their quotes. I know these could have been made a lot better. I am really in the middle between recommending this or not.

I bought both. The Jamie Bobble head says the best things but get both the Jamie and the Adam. Great looking and just fun to have around. My only disappointment in these is that the Adam Bobblehead doesn't say 'I reject your reality and substitute my own.'

I hope Kari, Tory, and Grant are next (and Buster too!).

Huge Fan of the show. My freind and I have won 3 costume contests dressed as Jamie and Adam (I'm Adam). Bought these as a gift. Giving Jamie to my friend and keeping Adam for myself.

Opened tha Adam doll and followed directions to pull the tab to enable the battery. Put it on the table and pressed the button for the cool voice-overs. The entire electronical essembly popped out. I can't re-glue it until I chip away all the old glue. Not Fun!

Great Looking but Poorly Made. Will think twice before I buy from Discovery Channel again.

I gave this product to my brother on Christmas. We are both huge Mythbusters fans. I will admit I got it on sale, which certainly increased its value - I wouldn't have bought it for him otherwise.
My brother LOVED them. I was almost jealous he kept them! They were a lot of fun, and seem really great - we had no problems with them, and it didn't seem flimsy or anything. They look great, etc.
The only reason I did not give them 5 stars was the talking part. That was fine, but they weren't the phrases I expected them to say. I couldn't even recall some of the times those phrases were said, I'd have preferred something more like "Jamie wants a big boom" or "am I missing an eyebrow" Minor annoyance, but enough I didn't want to give it 5 stars.

This was the best Christmas gift. Just looking at these guys on my desk makes me smile. I find myself compulsively punching the voice buttons over and over.

Adam:
"You should never try anything like this unless you have your own television show."
"Big boom! Big boom! Big boooom!"
"Danger is moy middle name."

Jamie:
"I always enjoy seeing Adam in pain."
"When will the fun ever stop?"
"I'm not sure what its going to do, but it looks cool."

A few observations:
They are heavy! (Definitely a plus) I was expecting cheap hollow plastic, but these guys are solid!

They are very obviously hand painted. I say "obvious" because the paint was not applied with much care. This gives the bobbleheads a look that is simultaneously endearing and cheap-looking.

I'm a little surprised that Adam's quote library didn't include: "I reject your reality and substitute my own." That was his first signature line!

The audio quality is somewhere between McDonalds toy and Greeting card -- with greeting card being the slightly higher end of this low end scale.

The base of the bobbleheads is big enough that we geeky types can gut the thing and stick in our own ISD2560P to record and play back our own favorite Mythbuster sound bites ;)

Been a fan of the show since the beginning - and been waiting for these for a LONG TIME. The audio is very clear, very lifelike, and just darn cute! The base on my Jamie bobblehead fell off when I went to pull the plastic battery tab, but a little epoxy fixed that. So, now we need Kari, Tori, and Grant for the complete team - hint, hint!

This is on the must have categories for a fan of the show. Cracked me up and very well designed. I must have not read the details, because I did not realize it had sound, added bonus. Definitely puts a smile on my face seeing the mythbusters under my monitor every day. I do agree with another review, where are the rest of the gang?

Great product, but disapointed in the sounds, mainly the "dont try this unless you have your own show" soundbyte.
I was wanting to give this to my son as he is inspired by the guys but I see the "dont try this" comment as wimpy lawyer speak.

A negative necessary evil part of the show to prevent lawsuits. Were still inspired to explore science and the bobbleheads should too! I will wait for bobbleheads version 2.0
