In a bizarre, true story of chance and disaster Clay hikes out into the snowy wilderness and manages to alert passing American Operatives who ultimately come to the rescue.

Former Special Forces man Ken has travelled to the Carpathian mountains in Transylvania to go on a solo hiking expedition. The trip takes a turn for the worse when he narrowly avoids a thundering avalanche but there's another one close behind. Hurled on a torrent of raging snow Ken is swept off a ledge and lands heavily, shattering his hip and femur. Despite the excruciating pain, he manages to drag his broken body across seven miles of frozen wilderness. An epic journey of courage and perseverance in some of the most brutal circumstances imaginable.

This series is outstanding on many levels, but most of all, it shows just how amazing the human body and the will to survive really are. The shows are entertaining and captivating, yet also educational. We can all learn from what the people on each episode have endured. Bravo to the show's producers.
