MUST LOVE CATS is a celebration of fascinating felines and the fascinating people who love them. From cats that saved their owners' lives to swanky cat-only hotels, the series spans the realm of all things "cat." It offers a potpourri of amazing feline stories, jam-packed with interesting factoids and trivia bits. The show is hosted by musician John Fulton, who combines his love for ditties with kitties. He is on a mission to prove to himself and the world that America is filled -north to south, east to west - with cat lovers, and is in fact a Cat-nation.
Cat Poo Coffee and Klepto Kitties
Feline fanatic John Fulton is on the prowl to find the coolest cats on the west coast and investigate that magical herb that drives cat's crazy, catnip. John tours the Seattle area to find out all he can about catnip, including where it is grown, the best shops to buy it from and why cats are so fond of it. Also in Seattle, John meets Cooper, the photographer cat. In Everett, Washington, John finds a real life cat superman - Dan Kraus, the tree climbing champion extraordinaire who teaches John how he rescues cats in distress. Then it's time for a much needed pit stop to meet the heroic staff of the Cat House on the Kings, California's largest no-kill shelter. After his long days on the road, Fulton travels to the Funnel Mill in Santa Monica, California for a strong cuppa, made from coffee beans scooped out of cat poop! Energized by cat caffeine, John ends his journey in the San Francisco neighborhood where Dusty the klepto cat is the main suspect in a string of burglaries, and John is determined to cat him in the act.
Kitty Wigs and Fat Cats
Back on the road, John continues his journey around the country by heading to the southwest to meet felines with frontier flair. Everyone knows that everything is bigger in Texas, and it's no different for Texan cats! John heads to Fort Worth, home of Kitty Wigs, a website that gives owners the chance to snap glamour shots of their kitties wearing chic cat hairpieces. But it's not just the hair that's bigger, it's the cats themselves! Then John makes a quick detour to Austin to investigate their fat cat epidemic. In Dallas, he meets Cody the cat, whose fondness for boxes led to a cross-country journey, something John can relate to. His final Texan stop brings John to a Texas icon, the Alamo, where he struggles to befriend the famous landmark's skittish cat custodian. Leaving Texas and heading for New Mexico a stop in the dessert reveals the El Dorado of cat sanctuaries: Kitty City. Heading west, John ends up at California's Walnut Creek, an Animal Rescue Foundation center that uses the Meet Your Match program to unite lonely cats and loving owners.
