Ep. 1) Second Chance Ranch: Tia Torres works tirelessly to rescue and rehabilitate pit bulls at the Villalobos Rescue Center - the largest pit bull rescue facility in the country. With 200 dogs on site and the help of two daughters, adopted twin sons and a gang of ex-cons, it's an endless effort to give both pit bull and parolee a second lease on life. It's also a struggle to maintain control as they contend with two rescues, a difficult adoption and the loss of a beloved family pet.
Ep. 2) Redemption: A parolee is assigned a difficult adoption case featuring a cast of renaissance fair pirates looking to add a pit bull to their crew. As the adoption unfolds, Tia's husband faces a bail hearing after an 18-month wait. During a heartbreaking rescue, Tia comes face to face with the abuse inflicted upon pit bulls.
Ep. 3) Whiteout: Tia and her daughter, Tania, bond during an emotional rescue mission that takes them to a Sacramento rescue shelter, stopping en route to rescue a stray pit bull found wandering outside the gates of Wasco State Prison. As Tia and Tania journey north, Armando is confronted by a freak blizzard, and it's up to him to keep order while Tia is away.
Ep. 4) Crisis: Tia deals with an endless series of crises as her older daughter Tania refuses to pull her weight and a parolee goes missing. A new arrival is given an opportunity to prove himself as Tia enlists his help in making a presentation to a local high school about seeing beyond stereotypes.
Ep. 5) Sin City: Running a rescue shelter is a financial strain, and it's getting harder for Tia to make ends meet. Despite being loathe to leaving the shelter for even a single night, Tia cannot turn down the offer of a benefit for Villalobos at a casino in Las Vegas. However, before she can leave, she needs to train a new parolee, adopt a dog to family that already has one pit bull, and deal with a major crisis with one of her most trusted parolees.
Ep. 6) On the Run: Tia and her team are tasked with tracking down a pit bull that has been living wild in a local park. It's a dangerous assignment and one that proves far harder than Tia ever expected. At the same time, Tia attempts to broaden the appeal of the dogs under her care by having Armando and Rocket work towards obtaining Rocket's therapy dog certification.
Ep. 1) A Battle of Wills: After a teenager is attacked by a group of pit bulls, Tia finds herself thrust into a rescue mission to save an innocent pit bull caught up in the media storm. But rescuing Otis is only the beginning of Tia's problems; once back at Villalobos, a strict court order outlining rules for Otis' care puts Tia at odds with her daughters and the parolees. Meanwhile, one of Tia's newest and toughest parolees tries to reconnect with his own children while he trains a pit bull that's up for adoption by a single mother and her son.
Ep. 2) A Final Verdict: With more dogs arriving every week, and husband AJ heading to trial, an exhausted Tia struggles to maintain control at Villalobos. Matters only worsen when a much-needed fundraising opportunity in Florida conflicts with a critical court appearance for AJ, forcing Tia to send her daughters to Florida alone. Then, as Tia and parolee Jimmie prepare to adopt out a dog, Tia gets a heart wrenching phone call that puts her husband's fate in her hands.
Ep. 3) Return to the Ranch: A rescue call about two puppies loose in a trucking yard sends Tia and new parolee Joe on a seek and find mission. Then, another challenge comes Joe's way when Tia needs him to train a dog that is being adopted by a family with a uniquely active lifestyle. And a surprise call to Tania brings former Parolee Jake back to the ranch, forcing Tia to decide whether or not to take him back.
Ep. 4) Beware of Dog: A plea for help compels Tia to deal with an out-of-control pit bull, leaving the owner grappling with a heart wrenching life or death decision. Then, a seemingly straightforward adoption takes a vicious turn, forcing Tia to rethink her dog matchmaking strategy. And, with no kennel space left at Villalobos, parolee Cameron persuades Tia to join him on a wild rescue to chase down two feral pit bulls.
Ep. 5) A Fighting Chance: Tia is touched by a heartfelt adoption application from a former prisoner turned mixed martial arts fighter. The fighter's video plea for a Villalobos pit bull sends Tania and Mariah on an adoption road trip to Montana. The emotional journey tests the girls in ways they didn't expect - but Tia is counting on her daughters to keep it together, so they can give a pit bull confiscated from a dog fighting ring a good home, and a new lease on life. Meanwhile, Tia and parolee Armando deal with their most unusual rescue to date: a pit bull puppy forced into an unimaginable situation to stay alive.
Ep. 6) Breaking Point: Tia and Jake are determined to find one of Villalobos' most unique-looking pit bulls a new home and head to a pet expo in hope of finding an adopter. After a promising meeting the adopter backs out forcing Jake and Tia to hit the streets to find Creature a home. Later, tempers flare at Villalobos when Tia discovers that parolee Billy isn't pulling his weight. At first, Tia leaves Billy's fate in the parolees' hands, but as the situation threatens to escalate, Tia is forced to intervene.
Ep. 7) Mission of Mercy: Tia sends daughters Tania and Mariah on a mission of mercy to New Orleans where a friend has rescued a pit bull that was tethered to a metal post for several days. While there, the girls are outraged by the frustrations faced by both human and canine inhabitants, and they participate in their most unusual rescue to date. Back at Villalobos, Tia rescues a severely injured pit bull from the side of a busy highway and deals with parolee Cameron's life-changing decision.
Ep. 8) Devastation: Five years have passed since Hurricane Katrina devastated New Orleans. Now, a potential adoption for a dog rescued from the disaster sends Tia and her son, Kanani, on a road trip to Louisiana. Once there, Tia comes face to face with the chaos that still blankets the city, and she rescues an abandoned dog during a fierce lightning storm. Meanwhile, Tia's team of parolees deals with a rattlesnake infestation at Villalobos.
Ep. 9) Saving Tia Torres: When Villalobos is invaded by a swarm of bees and Tia's faced with the costs of having the hive removed, Mariah and Tania suggest throwing a fundraiser for the ranch. Believing that fundraisers are more work than they're worth, Tia tells the girls that they're on their own and hopes for the best. Meanwhile, Armondo asks for Tia's help when rescuing a pit bull mother and her litter of puppies turns out to be too much for the parolee to handle by himself.
Ep. 10) Trial by Fire: A special needs adoption for a deaf dog sends Tia and parolee Joe on a road trip to San Diego to meet a blind dog. Then Tia's worst nightmares come true, when a wildfire burns dangerously close to Villlalobos, forcing her and the parolees to evacuate the nearly 200 dogs from the ranch. And thinking the fire may be a sign, Tia investigates a property that she thinks could be her dream come true and the new home for the rescue, only to have it threatened by another wildfire.
Ep. 11) The Next Chapter: Now that Tia has gotten her hands on her dream property, she is faced with the daunting task of moving herself, her family, the parolees, the kennels and the nearly 200 pit bulls that call Villalobos home. With winter coming, Tia finds herself in a race against time to complete the massive operation. But with no water, no electricity and construction yet to begin, moving may be Tia's greatest challenge yet. Even as the old kennels are being torn down, Tia can't forget her mission and finds herself on a rescue mission to save a loose pit bull she and her daughters encounter near her new location. All this leads to an emotional and overwhelming day as Tia oversees a caravan of volunteers moving the dogs to Villalobos Rescue Center's new home.
Ep. 12) Life in the Spotlight: Production may have wrapped on the second season of 'Pit Bulls and Parolees', but for Tia, life at the Villalobos Rescue Center continues at breakneck speed. Amid the chaos of running the world's largest pit bull rescue facility, Tia takes a moment to look back on the events that shaped the second season and follows-up on the most memorable, emotional and uplifting stories of the past year. Tia takes us behind-the-scenes of several adoptions, revealing surprising information and updating the stories of those dogs that found new homes. She also takes us deeper into the lives of her parolees, including a visit to Armando's newly purchased home where Tia has an emotional meeting with Armando's proud family. Finally, Tia looks ahead to life beyond the second season and the challenges that await her as she prepares to move.
