I use it for my own entertainment, I love how it's all put together and useing Mike Rowe, well he makes it easy to listen to, I like Mike. I can't think of any thing that's not good about it.

I saw the series on Science Channel on our cable system, and I just HAD to have my own DVD copy. Professor Brian Cox provides a narrative that as much as the sweeping videography just pulls one into the "adventure" presented by each episode. It so clearly and yet dramatically and accurately presents some physical descriptions of "our" Universe which can be very difficult to envision.
Younger viewers can grasp the ideas much more readily with the scripting Prof. Cox presents, as compared to some other attempts I've seen in my adult years (I'm 65).

Wow! What an informative, interesting program especially if your interested in cosmology, the nature of the universe and life on earth. But what tease too! Just four episodes on this, hopefully, first volume (season 1?). Leaves you wanting to see more. Very complex concepts explained in ordinary English, easily understood (because it is so well explained),

The DVD add did not tell what episodes were included. Since the screen was high-lighting "Children of the Stars", and that is what I wanted, I ordered the DVD. When I received it it had "Destiny Stardust" and "Falling Messengers" neither of which are of any value for the chemistry classes. I have found Discovery science DVD's to be of high quality. However, the Discovery Channel needs to clarify this add.

This is a really special science video. You learn a lot but are at the same time entertained and transported by Professor Cox's narration and the fantastic cinematography.

No Closed Captioned or subtitles information. CC is not only for the deaf. There are some technical words difficult to understand that sometimes We require the subtitle.
