I ran out of unemployment money and found myself starving to death. Had nothing to eat for a week and a half straight. Then I remembered an episode of Survivorman when he eats dandelions and wild onions. I survived on that till my family was able to find me. I had no phone so i couldnt contact anyone and i had little energy to get any help. Les, your teachings saved my life. Thank you.

I really like Les Stroud. I feel that he's much more realistic and much more committed to teaching people how to survive than Bear Grylls. I actually bought this DVD set about 4 months ago, but it didn't have any English subtitles. I'm hearing-impaired, so I need subtitles to understand what he's saying. I do watch the show on TV, so that's better than nothing, but I would like to be able to get a subtitled version of this DVD set.
