Meade Basic Camera Adapter

Create lasting impressions of your telescopic findings with your standard 35mm camera. All you need to get started with your reflecting or refracting telescope is a Basic Camera Adapter, which threads onto the rear cell of your telescope, and a T-mount appropriate to your brand of 35mm camera (sold separately). With these two components in place, the camera body is rigidly coupled to the telescope's optical system, which in effect becomes the camera's lens. Just operate your camera normally to capture stunning celestial and terrestrial images like never before!

The 1.25" Basic Camera Adapter directly attaches to your camera body and a .1.25" telescope eyepiece holder. Each adapter is machined to close tolerance from a solid bar of hardened aluminum; all surfaces are anodized to yield a beautiful smooth black finish and to minimize internal reflections. Barrels are of chrome-plated brass; the barrels of 1.25" Basic Camera Adapters are threaded for Series 4000 Photo-Visual Color Filters. Basic Camera Adapters should be used with a T-Mount appropriate to your brand of 35mm camera.
