Comments about this product:

Prehistoric Predators is the latest installment in the ever growing library of Dinosaur Videos released by Discovery Ch. This production would have rated 5 stars had it not been for the inclusion of What Killed The Mega Beasts. That feature,WKMB,was a fine work and very well done. But it sells under it's own title separately and, when last I checked, was still available in the Discovery Video catalog listings. This practice of "padding" a new release older material seems less than fair to a serious student/collector of dinosauria. I am sure that the added material is a bargain to the First Time Buyer. But it is more of a sting to the long term faithful customer.
The other two programs are up to the Discovery Channel's usual spectacular quality. There was never a better use for a big screen TV than watching a herd of photo-realistic dinosaurs march across the eons and into our homes.
These computer generated dreams come true are as close to time machines as we will ever see. And they are so much safer than a game reserve full of real, living dinosaurs ever could be. Between the entertainment value and the multilevel exposure to most of the natural sciences all blended into one program, the sheer size of the ideas and information far outstrips the size of the resurrected titans we ogle as they blink back at us in digital replay. As a life time student of this subject, as well as a commercial artist, these programs never cease to inspire and challenge my imagination as our long lost past strides before me with impossible realism.
The story of prehistoric life as it blossomed over the earth is a an ever expanding panorama that by it's very nature will be improved and deepened for generations to come! There has never been a better time to see and study the uncountable lost times and creatures presented in DVDs like Prehistoric Predators of the Past.Even when ideas in one DVD differ,or contradict those seen in some other program, the learning continues for everyone of all ages who has eyes to see and ears to hear! And with honest information, open learning, and clear judgment,we can reach beyond simple opinions, ever changing theories, and dry facts. The perfect blend of all this can be WISDOM!
The study of dinosaurs, in and of itself may not change the world. But the sciences included in that study encompass the entire universe and the fabric of time itself. It is that myriad of subjects that could just alight the next inspired mind that will find just one branch of new truth! And that is what could CHANGE THE WORLD.
