Our 11 year old nephew loved this gift. This type of TV entertainment is exciting, entertaining, motivating and intelligent. This show sparks kids with the interest to try out new things, not just sit behind the PC all the time.

I have two teenage boys who have watched Survivorman when they were younger. My 17 year old asked to purchase these not long ago and they STILL love watching Les. We learn something new every episode about wilderness survival also.

Apparantly there is something missing on this DVD that others have had, specifically "behind the scenes" footage. otherwise okay.

This is a great show to watch if you love nature and the outdoors. Les captures great film of remote places in the world you may never get to visit. He also gives you great information on survial.

I ran out of unemployment money and found myself starving to death. Had nothing to eat for a week and a half straight. Then I remembered an episode of Survivorman when he eats dandelions and wild onions. I survived on that till my family was able to find me. I had no phone so i couldnt contact anyone and i had little energy to get any help. Les, your teachings saved my life. Thank you.

I've been an admirer of Les Stroud since I first learned of the show Survivorman. I would continue buying new seasons but the show is no longer on the air. I look forward to purchasing whatever else Les Stroud is a part of.

I love this show! I can't beleive that it was canceled. The only reason they kept Bear Grylls is for shock value.

I really like Les Stroud. I feel that he's much more realistic and much more committed to teaching people how to survive than Bear Grylls. I actually bought this DVD set about 4 months ago, but it didn't have any English subtitles. I'm hearing-impaired, so I need subtitles to understand what he's saying. I do watch the show on TV, so that's better than nothing, but I would like to be able to get a subtitled version of this DVD set.

My whole family loves this guy. Even my four year old! Les is way better. He's real. Has real information, and doesn't stay at a hotel at night like that other guy!!
